Wilmer A. Palacios Gonzalez , FNP-C
My name is Wilmer Palacios, a nationally certified Family Nurse Practitioner with a deep passion for improving access to care in the Central Valley. From a young age, I faced personal health challenges, particularly gastrointestinal issues, which ignited my drive to help others facing similar struggles. When I completed my training as a Nurse Practitioner, I made it my mission to specialize in gastrointestinal care and ensure that individuals receive the attention and treatment they need to feel better.
Before becoming a Nurse Practitioner, I worked as a Registered Nurse at a Community Medical Center in Fresno, where I spent six years in various high-stress settings, including the Trauma Step-Down Unit and the Medical and Cardiac Intensive Care Unit. These experiences shaped my approach to patient care, reinforcing the importance of compassion, thoroughness, and attention to detail.
In addition to my clinical work, I am fluent in both English and Spanish, which allows me to communicate with and serve a diverse patient population more effectively. Outside of my professional life, I am an avid outdoor enthusiast. I enjoy hitting the gym, hiking, and walking with my dogs. One of my favorite ways to unwind is by fishing, which allows me to connect with nature and recharge.
An interesting aspect of my personal life is that I come from a large family—13 siblings, to be exact. This has taught me the value of community, teamwork, and fostering meaningful relationships, both personally and professionally.
Ultimately, my goal as a healthcare provider is to deliver exceptional patient care and be a dedicated partner in your journey to better health. Whether navigating gastrointestinal challenges or managing broader health concerns, I am here to help you every step of the way.
